Reviews

We were craving Jamaican food while we were out exploring Dallas and we found this spot. The food here tasted better than the food I had at a resort in Jamaica. So authentic, flavorful, and so well seasoned. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and greeted by our waitress Dee who was so sweet and answered all our questions about the menu and gave excellent recommendations. The food was fresh and tasty and the portion sizes were very generous. We got the whole red snapper fish with a side of rice and peas and steamed cabbage on one plate and the oxtail with a side of candied yams and Mac and cheese. We also tried the Ting soda and the guava carrot juice. Everything was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back here the next time we’re in Dallas!

Food was great although portion size was disappointing. Oxtail plate was $29 and for that price I expected more oxtails. If they had fountain drinks I would've ate inside as the ambiance was real chill.

Everything we tried was delicious! The oxtails were the best I've had thus far. I liked that they give you extra ragout. It's perfect over the rice and peas. The collard greens are well-seasoned. The mac and cheese pie was okay. Lots of flavors going on. The fish was small but it was good. They had a good rotation of customers dining in and grabbing takeout, especially food delivery drivers. It's not cheap but worth it!

This is a pretty decent Jamaican restaurant. The staff/owner are very pleasant. For $16, the portion sizes are pretty generous. I tried the dark meat, rice & peas with yams & plantains. The jerk sauce packs a lot of heat, which I loved—wish the meat itself would’ve had more seasonings/spices. Rice & peas and yams were delicious. Will definitely be back to try the oxtails.

Food and service are incredible! I’ve had Roland’s twice for take out and the food has been consistently great. Large portions and the flavors are delicious! This was my first time dining in and it was an amazing experience. We had the ribs, jerk chicken, plantains, collard greens, rice and peas, and Mac and cheese. Jamaican music was playing. It was all perfect. Dontae was our server and he was excellent. He was very attentive and friendly, always made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place!

I flew in from New York, and this was my first time visiting Texas. My first stop was this restaurant. Although the food took a little while to come out, it was well worth the wait. This is some of the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh—the jerk chicken had the perfect amount of spice, the rice and peas were flavorful, the plantains were fried to perfection, and the ginger drink was amazing. I definitely recommend this place!
